Brenda
Richter, R.N., Owner and Administrator of Excel Healthcare, has
been in the nursing field for almost twenty years. Love for the
elderly and disabled is what inspired her to establish Excel Healthcare.
Along with a conviction that given the option, most individuals
would prefer to live at home for as long as possible or remain
at home while recuperating from an illness, the mission of Excel
Healthcare is to provide those individuals with the support needed
to do so.
"My
experience has been that no one has ever come back to me thanking
me for recommending that their loved one be placed in a nursing
home," says Brenda, "but I've had many come back
to me thanking me for assisting them in letting their loved one
live out their final days in the comfort of their own home. We
want to give families choices, and the highest quality of care.
Home care provides a one-on-one bond that is difficult to achieve
in a facility setting. Our objective is to help families come
up with a viable plan so there's a sense of security and satisfaction
in knowing their loved one has the support they need to live the
lifestyle they desire."
