Are you a qualified healthcare assistant or currently studying for your QQI?

Excel Healthcare are seeking a Saturday Healthcare Assistant to join their team. You will get the opportunity to work in different healthcare settings from hospitals to nursing homes.

You must be available to work Saturday day and if you wish you can also work a Monday or Friday.

HSE and private healthcare pay rates apply ranging from €14-15.56 starting off, this will go up depending on experience.

About this Agency HCA role:

  • Work available on Saturdays 1-4 per month, you choose
  • You can also add on weekdays if you choose
  • Flexible shifts 8am-8pm or 10am-8pm or 8am-6pm
  • You can work within hospitals, nursing homes or rehabilitation settings.
  • Deliver high-quality, patient focused care, ensuring comfort and well-being for patients.
  • Provide encouragement and support for patients in their daily activities.
  • Collaborate closely with nurses and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities and mealtimes as needed.

Requirements of this Agency HCA job:

  • Right to work in Ireland (EU/EEA Passport, IRP Stamps 1G, 2, or 4).
  • QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or equivalent (or care skills and care of the elderly modules complete at a minimum)
  • Relevant certifications, such as Patient Manual Handling, Infection Control, and Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults ( we can help with these)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Previous healthcare experience is desirable.
