In partnership with our client, Excel Healthcare are currently recruiting an Assistant Director of Nursing for a sub-acute care facility based in Tipperary

The Assistant Director of Nursing will be joining a new purpose-built facility offers short term care to patients in the public health system with the role offering an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious team and deliver real change.

This position presents an excellent opportunity to join a new state of the art sub-acute care facility which and would suit an experienced nurse, ideally with an acute nursing background. The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Nursing, assisting with all aspects of the day-to-day management of this facility. This position offers a fast-paced working environment and unparalleled scope for career progression with Ireland’s fastest growing healthcare provider. Acute or sub-acute hospital experience is highly desirable for this role.

Responsibilities of this Assistant Director of Nursing job include:

  • Support the Director of Nursing in the day-to-day management of the unit
  • Carry out regular risk assessments to mitigate clinical risks and prevent accidents, in accordance with company guidelines
  • Carry out appraisals in accordance with policy while liaising with the Training Coordinator to facilitate personal development plans
  • Overseeing the provision of a high quality, person-centred service to patients and effective management of the staff team and resources

What you need to be considered for this Nursing Practice Development Co-ordinator job:

  • NMBI registration
  • Natural Leadership, Organisational and Communication skills
  • Experience in an acute hospital setting
