Excel Healthcare is currently seeking a dedicated Care Support Worker (CSW) on a full time, permanent contract, for our client who provides residential settings for people with intellectual disability, head injuries and neurological conditions.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to be part of a positive team in a medium-sized homely and friendly nursing home. This role will suit anyone with previous experience within the healthcare system.

Responsibilities of a Care Support Worker:

• Attend to resident’s personal care needs and assist with activities of daily living/
• Providing a high standard of care and service within the workplace.
• Ensure excellent communication between residents and their family.
• Assisting residents with any mobility needs they may have.
• Supporting individuals with money management.
• Work as part of wider multidisciplinary team, including staff nurses, clinical nursing managers and other healthcare professionals.
• Act as an advocate where appropriate.

Requirements of a Care Support Worker:

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Studies or equivalent.
• A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar setting.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Genuine interest in working with service users.
• Good level of oral and written English.
