Excel Healthcare is currently seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant (HCA) on a full time, permanent contract, for a quaint nursing home located in Co. Laois.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to be part of a positive team in a brand-new, purpose built homely and friendly nursing home.

Responsibilities of a Healthcare Assistant:

• Attend to resident’s personal care needs and assist with activities of daily living.
• Providing a high standard of care and service within the workplace.
• Ensure excellent communication between residents and their family.
• Be punctual and manage time effectively.
• Provide guidance to new healthcare assistants during training.
• Work as part of wider multidisciplinary team, including staff nurses, clinical nursing managers and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements of a HCA:

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Studies or equivalent.
• Proven experience in the healthcare industry.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Genuine interest in working with the elderly.
• A caring and kind nature.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
