Locum Physiotherapist

Excel Healthcare are hiring a Locum Physiotherapist on behalf of a client in Wicklow.

The physiotherapy department are a dedicated team with differing levels of experience who work very closely with the nurses and healthcare assistants to ensure patient needs are met.

This role may suit someone who is looking to work on a casual full or part time basis or someone who needs flexibility and may not wish to commit to a full-time permanent contract

Responsibilities for this Locum Physiotherapist

  • Carry a caseload of patients under the direction of a Senior Physiotherapist
  • Deliver individual patient rehabilitation programmes
  • Provide instruction and guidance to the nursing staff and healthcare assistants
  • Communicate clearly with other members of the MDT regarding patient’s plan of care and their progress

Job requirements

Applicants should:

  • Hold a recognised qualification in Physiotherapy & be registered with CORU.
  • Have previous experience working in an acute healthcare setting
  • Have previous experience working in the area of inpatient Orthopaedics
  • Have proven organisational and case load management skills.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills & proven verbal and written communication abilities.
