Responsibilities of this HSE Midwife job in Portlaoise include:

• Assisting and providing support and care during labour and the delivery process.
• Administer pain relief, medications, and other required treatments, ensuring the safety, well-being and comfort of the mother.
• Offer advice and support with regards to breastfeeding, childbirth and newborn care to new and expectant parents, and address any physical or emotional concerns.
• Provide high quality care and physical, mental and emotional support.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and records and provide care and treatment plans.

Requirements of this HSE Midwife job in Portlaoise include:

• Valid NMBI Pin.
• Hold valid work authorisation to work in Ireland (Valid work visa or EU/EEA citizenship).
• At least one year’s experience as a Midwife in an acute setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of best practices in Maternity care and strong clinical skills.
• Excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant Healthcare certificates.
