Oncology Nurse
Our client situated in South Dublin is the single, biggest acute private hospital in Dublin. They offer the highest number of consultants and the widest range of specialist care in Ireland’s only integrated multi-hospital campus.
The hospital has 236 inpatient beds, 31 general and 23 oncology day care beds, 12 consulting suites, operating theatres for major and minor surgery, endoscopy, radiotherapy, cardiology and diagnostic imaging facilities which includes General Radiography, CT Scanning, Interventional Radiology, Mammography, Ultrasound and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
Requirements of this Oncology Staff Nurse role:
- Be registered on the general division of the register of nurses maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
- Have at least 2 years post registration experience in an acute hospital setting.
- Have at least 2 years of experience in the specialised area for specialised Staff Nurse positions.
- SACT passport or a recognised oncology post graduate course is essential
- Have proven clinical and professional ability
- Good IT skills, with ability to use Microsoft packages e.g. Word, Excel, and Powerpoint etc.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Competency in the English language is a requirement for the post.
Desirable skills for this Oncology Staff Nurse role:
- Have a qualification pertaining to the nursing speciality.
- Demonstrate ability to manage clinical and non-clinical situations.
- Have ability to work with a team in delivery nursing care.
- Have a high capacity for responsibility and individual initiative.
- Have an interest in quality initiation for the Nursing Service.
- Can demonstrate knowledge of risk management from investigation to reporting.
Contract Hours available for this Oncology Staff Nurse role:
- Full time or Part time permanet contract available
- 37.5 hours or 2 10/9 hour days per week
- Shift pattern is 8am to 8pm
