Location: Cork
Hours: 35 hours per week

Role: Permanent, Fulltime

Excel Recruitment are recruiting a highly skilled and motivated, BSE Accredited Senior Cardiac Physiologist/Echocardiographer on behalf of one of Cork’s leading hospitals!

As a Senior Cardiac Physiologist:

  • You will manage your own clinic work load with efficiency and high quality.
  • Demonstrate support and staff supervision according to department demands. Deliver mentorship to junior staff with active involvement in staff training.
  • Manage clinical leadership within echocardiography and non-invasive testing to a high standard according to department Policies and Procedures and internationally recognised guidelines.
  • You’ll be part of a high-performing, multidisciplinary team, working across a full spectrum of cardiac investigations and procedures.
  • Lead and mentor junior staff, ensuring high standards of training and patient care
  • Contribute to clinical leadership within echocardiography and non-invasive testing
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes

Requirements:

  • Applicants should have an up to date BSE (British Society of Echocardiography) or (European Society of Cardiology) EACVI Accrediation.

  • Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Clinical Measurement Science, Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT)
  • Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Clinical Measurement Science, Technological University Dublin (TUD)
  • Possess an equivalent relevant scientific qualification as confirmed by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Physiology (IICMP).
  • Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (MPPM) from Dublin Institute of Technology (if qualified in or prior to 2005).
  • Have 3 years post qualification experience with at least 1 years Echo experience.
  • Strong organisational skills with an ability to manage a high volume workload.
  • An ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Leadership and Management ability include the ability to manage a team and facilitate staff development by providing support such as supervising, mentoring, coaching and formal development planning.
  • Strong communication skills.
