Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Specialist Support Worker on a permanent full-time basis, covering the Greater Belfast area, with a starting salary of £25,269

Responsibilities:

With a full copy of the Job Duties and Person Spec available on request, you will:

  • Deliver 24/7 bespoke interventions to a small group of Looked After Children between the ages of 16-21, enabling them to live in a safe and stable environment and to have a place they can call home.
  • Provide direct support to young people with complex needs and challenging behaviours, poor mental health along with substance/alcohol misuse, using a holistic approach.

Requirements:

  • 6 months experience working with vulnerable children or adults.
  • Experience of care and support for young people who suffer from poor mental health, alcohol/drug use and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Available to work shifts to cover the 24/7 service.
  • Key working, coordinating, and delivering support packages.
  • Valid driving licence and access to a car to meet the needs of the job.
  • NISCC registered (or agree to become registered within 6 months from the date of appointment).
